Meditation. - BlueCat - 08-05-2014 Since, I meditate once In a while, I will be sharing my knowledge to you on this very amazing subject. What Is Meditation? Meditation for me, Is the art of a person being able to become one with them self, To be able to be in the present, Not in the past and not in the future. Though, The whole topic is very subjective due to Meditation being practised in many religions. But, All of this varies into what you are using it for. Last but not least, Meditation allowed one to enter some forms of altered states of consciousness. Altered States Of Consciousness Basically, An altered state is where someone changes there mental state. Like when you're asleep to awake, To a day dream, To going into a alpha state etc... Though this is commonly used when one meditates. They mainly use this to find peace within themselves, To find positivity in there life. This is also used in trance work. I can not enter an altered state, Can I use Drugs? I am not going to answer this question as you should have common sense to answer it yourself. But, I will give my input on it. Firstly, I will say that Learning to enter altered states is like a new born baby learning to walk. You must train yourself to do this, Instead of using some sort of drug that will induce it for yourself. Though back in the days people use to use drugs to induce an altered state as they was not sure how to enter one without them. But as time evolved Knowledge began to grow and we found a way. How To Meditate? This is the very first video I used when I wanted to learn to meditate. Spoiler: My First Guided Meditation VideoAfter 4 years of trying to meditate, I found myself starting to go into deeper relaxed states. Here is the very first video where I fell into my first deep relaxed state intentionally. Spoiler: Deep RelaxationAfter all this happened I developed and developed going into more deeper states. There was a time where I done a guided imaginary Meditation, I found myself in sacred space. I found myself in a wooden cabin in a forest. Hearing the birds making noises. I reached for the handle and turned it. It felt real. Once I opened the door, I found a white owl sitting on the branch looking at me. It gave me the impression that it was protecting the Cabin. I noticed there was a pond in the garden. The pond was lovely it was the colours of the rainbow. I washed myself in the pond and it cleansed me so much. I felt positivity. Then suddenly, I was took back to a conscious state of mind. It's really a wonderful skill to learn! Any mistakes let me know. RE: Meditation. - HattityHat - 08-06-2014 Good topic, just that i have a question..¿what if I have made meditation without your "requirements"?. I ask this because I should get on my bed, close my eyes and try to make a good perception about subjects or about myself while I´m confortable. ¿This isn´t meditation? RE: Meditation. - Templar.Clown - 08-06-2014 WARNING: I am not trolling. Is meditation like lucid dreaming? Would that be considered a way of meditation? I have been experimenting with lucid dreaming whenever I can. I like seeing what my mind can do/create. What I've wrote above are merely based on experience and opinion mate. So For you. Meditation is what you want it to be. RE: Meditation. - BlueCat - 08-06-2014 I have decided I am going to writing about meditation in different post's. Again. We are going to go more In dept of the following. Clearing of the thoughts Exercises Clearing of the thoughts This seems to be one of the main problems when one begins to meditate. "I can not clear my mind" "Thoughts are going round and round in circles" "How can I make them go away?" The very truth is that we will be always be thinking whatever we do. It's impossible to fully stop our thoughts, But if we did, We would most likely be dead. Though, When one meditates they are aware of there thoughts. The goal is to be able to take that awareness from your thoughts and place it on something else. That way when your focusing on something, You're actually shifting your awareness which is then taking your awareness of your thoughts. There are many exercises to do this, But the most common way is to focus on your focusing on your chest. For me, I mainly focus on my breathing, Or, I will simply draw a picture in my mind and make the scene become reality. Let's say I picture myself on a beach. I would feel the sun shining on my body, Hearing the waves of the sea. Feeling the stones and rocks on the floor. This is tuning into your mental senses and will take your into a Non physical reality or commonly known as (NPR). Exercises I will list one of my best exercises. It's called the "Phase". Get yourself in a nice relaxed position,Sitting down, Lying down. Does not matter, But I do recommend lying down as it makes it faster to reach the state. Once you're in a nice relaxed position. Bring your awareness to your Breathing, Notice your patten, As you breath in, Feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into your bed(or wherever you are doing this). Breathing in and out going deeper and deeper into a relaxed state. Keep doing this and you will start to notice that your body will start to go numb. Don't play lots of attention to it, Just acknowledge it and move on. You begin to notice your breathing starts to slow down, You're now in a very relaxed state and could drop into a sleeping state, So, Now what I want you to do is to focus on the blackness within your eyes, The more you focus, The more you realise what's happening. The black space you're seeing gradually starts to become a black 3D void. This void is your space. This room is one with your thoughts. You may see colours, As again, acknowledge it and move on. Just enjoy this peaceful environment. Once you're Done in this void, Come back to yourself and slowly start to regain physical awareness of your body. RE: Meditation. - Singularity_mybb_import13102 - 08-06-2014 I relax and do some astral projection. Anyone else tried it? It really clears my mind and helps me concentrate/think. I'm currently learning ap. I was going to write about it, But as it's more of a spiritual topic, so I decided not to. RE: Meditation. - BlueCat - 08-06-2014 I second that. I shall write about Astral projection. as it not as bad as it sounds. I am going to make this post quick and easy. Astral Projection So Astral Projection, What Is It? To be fair, Many people have said it's our so called "Spirit" Leaves our body when one does this. Now strictly saying, This is Technically not true. When one Projects it it merely just our consciousness.part of our consciousness stay in our body and the other half wonders off. This is the case because after some experiences, People claim to have remembered both being in a dream and as well travelling. RE: Meditation. - RukaPravde - 08-12-2014 Meditation is cool.I used to meditate all the time and it made me feel alot better.
