Introduction Rules - Deque - 06-24-2014 Here are some guidelines you should follow before posting into the introduction section. For new members posting introductions: Please Note: Bad introductions are spam and deleted by staff members! Your introductory post is there to get to know you better. If you have nothing to say about you, don't post in it. Don't make it too short. But quality counts. I won't give a minimum number of lines or sentences you have to post for a proper introduction. It depends on the content if it is proper. Introductions can have 100 sentences and say nothing or have just 5 and tell a lot about you. So, tell something that separates you from others. Don't state the obvious, e.g. don't tell us you are a new member (of course you are), don't tell us that you are introducing yourself (of course you do). Don't tell that you are interested in hacking (of course you are, this is a hacking forum). Follow the usual forum etiquette and rules, e.g.: Use proper language and grammar (as much as you are able to do so). Don't spam. Don't misuse the introduction section for anything else than introductions, e.g.: The introduction section is not there to answer hacking questions or promote anything you sell. Don't use eyeblinding colors, unusual fonts, centered text or big font size for the whole text These items are there to structure information, e.g. in papers. They will not help to make your introduction better if applied to the whole text. They are just perfume for the bad smell. For the members reading introductions: If you find improper introductions, DO NOT respond to them, report them instead. The moderators provide guidelines and explanations via PM to the user after deleting the introduction. You don't need to write guidelines as response to the user's introduction. You don't want to find your good response deleted. Help us to make the introduction quality better instead by reporting them. @Staff Complete these rules if necessary. |
