dont belong here - BlueCat - 06-15-2014 Lately, I have been feeling like I don't belong here. I feel this is due to the lack of knowledge I have when it comes to certain, Ive tried to engage in Conversations but seems like no one is interested in actually speaking to me. Though, I do like doing web design, something I actually do enjoy but since that is an active section of the site I just lurk. I don't feel I belong on a site with some knowledgeable people. Makes me feel stupid. RE: dont belong here - bluedog.tar.gz - 06-15-2014 Join which ever discussion you like. The forum has enough information for you to grow. You don't become an expert in something just randomly. RE: dont belong here - Plexcon - 06-15-2014 (06-15-2014, 09:01 PM)bluedog.tar.gz Wrote: Join which ever discussion you like. I don't know jackshit about coding but I still join discussions, It's a forum, Everyone is free to say whatever they want (well to a degree of course.) RE: dont belong here - chmod - 06-15-2014 It's pretty much been summed up already but the best way to learn something is to join in discussions about it. We all started off in the same place as you and slowly learned the skills and knowledge we have now. All of us are still constantly learning and to be honest there are plenty of members here that make me feel dumb, but I read what they post and get involved as much as possible to try to learn and become as good as they are. RE: dont belong here - BlackArray - 06-15-2014 Feeling dumb? Grab that Assembly book and 99% people in the scene won't dare calling you dumb. RE: dont belong here - Spirit - 06-15-2014 Honestly, BlueCat, you aren't dumb. You're just lost. I've noticed that you've been getting more and more active and trying to learn more and more things. Keep it up and one day you'll be answering the questions that you used to ask for people. When this day comes, you'll be looked upon as an expert by the next generation of noobies. Hell man, I'm not an expert either. Almost everyone here makes me feel like a dumbass at some point or another. What you're going through is normal. I've went through it. @"RaccoonCity" did. @bluedog.tar.gz did. @Psycho_Coder did. It's NORMAL. Just keep trucking on and you'll someday get there.

It doesn't have to be Assembly per se. OP has to understand that you actually need to learn and practise before you achieve something you 'master'. People respect contribution and effort. For the hell of it, it might even be an essay on dog behaviour. |
