How to add any application shortcut to desktop right click. - harcoder - 06-10-2014 This is my first thread we can play windows on our tips by changing registry keys. So here we will add any application to our desktop right click. first for safe side you should backup the registry key by following steps: 1)From system protection tab under properties of my computer click on Create so windows will automatically create backup of registry keys by making system restore point. Now its time to start... i am going to add control panel in desktop right click menu... Step 1: Open windows registry. Step 2: Browse to the following windows registry key: ![]() HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell Step 3: Now right click on the shell key(folder) in left pane and create a new key and name it as control panel and create another sub key within control panel and call it command screenshot of step 3: ![]() step 4: Double click on Default string key in the right pane and change its value data to rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL screenshot of step 4: ![]() that's it now when you right click on desktop you will get the shortcut to right click menu. thankyou as it is my first tutorial i just posted this tutorial. |
