Private lessons - kankucho - 06-04-2014 how do I get private lessons on how to use Backtrack? RE: Private lessons - BORW3 - 06-04-2014 by google...............................? RE: Private lessons - chmod - 06-04-2014 A big part of becoming efficient at pentesting (backtracks main purpose) is being able to think on your feet and adapt to a given situation. This is not something you will learn from one on one tutoring, in fact it's quite the opposite you will start to rely on others to solve problems for you and therefore never succeed. Other then that most of us are busy learning ourselves or have other projects to work on and simply don't have time to personally teach people every aspect of hacking. In summery the best way to succeed is self study and dedication, we will however help you if you are stuck on something, if you have put in some effort to help yourself first. Try searching Youtube or Google or (IMO the best source if information the man pages for the command) RE: Private lessons - gioo1331 - 06-04-2014 Hire a teacher RE: Private lessons - 1MrE1 - 06-04-2014 i'll teach you for 50 bucks and hour or google and youtube will teach you for free and offcourse google knows more than me....eventually my brain doesn't fit 200 trillion gigabytes of information lol so which one do you prefer? :p:p RE: Private lessons - kankucho - 06-05-2014 (06-04-2014, 04:10 PM)chmod Wrote: A big part of becoming efficient at pentesting (backtracks main purpose) is being able to think on your feet and adapt to a given situation. I know but you save a lot of time when you have one on one tutoring. I think we have limited time so it's better to hire someone that has already figure it out how to do things in the fastest way. By the way I was talking about paid private tutoring
RE: Private lessons - 1MrE1 - 06-05-2014 Man let me tell you something...when i find a difficulty in solving a problem let's say i know a specific site is vulnurable to sql or xss injection we all know the most common way for xss try <script>alert('hi')</script> and for sql with the ' symbol but these are just basic ways...sometimes you find difficulties sometimes you find filters on websites and so on when trying to google even trying your own methods you learn more than 100 ways to do xss untill you find the correct injection that should be done...and the next time you find a vulnerable website you already know 100 ways to bypass filters isn't that just great better then someone directly telling you the answer by that you only know two ways of doing so... so the point is you learn by failing and sometime by searching for the answer on google and so on you'll find even more and more interesting things get it? From one thing you learn a hundred that's the point of trying more and more and if your lookiing for answers on a plate of gold...Man let me tell hacking is not for you :p RE: Private lessons - chmod - 06-05-2014 (06-05-2014, 02:47 AM)kankucho Wrote: I know but you save a lot of time when you have one on one tutoring. If yo did you completely ignored them. Whether your paying or not, it's not the best way to proceed, I'm doing you a favour here some people will take your money and teach you next to nothing.
