I've created a HackCommunity skin featuring RSS Feed, HackCommunity buttons (New post, Today, Search, IRC, HC Homepage), Live updated stats (Activity & Boardstats).

FAQ

Can I copy paste the source and distribute it under my name?

Eh.. I'm not really digging the design.
No problem! You are able to edit it to your liking! Also please note that more versions are coming soon (lightweight version)

How does it retrieve the information?
It simply downloads the webpage and 'returns' the information that is in the skin

It takes 5 seconds to load in?
Yes it does, its to avoid getting blocked my the server (DoS)

How often does it refreshes?
Each 5 seconds

Does it require much bandwith?
It downloads the webpage in HTML which is 18.6KB and the logo 12KB each 5 seconds.
~ 360KB per minute / 21MB per hour

Yeah thanks :Not-Amused: I'm really not great with conky but will have a look see if I can come up with anything. I did manage to extract the files from the rainmeter skin so I don't know maybe I can use that as a reference/starting point

@bluedog.tar.gz fuck wine we want a native solution that doesn't eat RAM.

@Deque I think conky will be the solution for it though it's just figuring out how to implement it

Update;

I'll have a look into Conky tomorrow. I'm aware of the fact that alot of us use Linux. Lets see what I can do.
