Hello python developers,
It's a pleasure to be with you here.
Anyway, I created a windows software using python language and I compiled it using Py2Exe and it works great.
now, I am wondering how to make it checks for new updates.
Please help me :Not-Amused:

Actually, I don't have access Google. Because I am using a vulnerability in my ISP .. So, I enjoy a Free Internet.
The prob is that I have access to HTTP website only. not HTTPs.. and Google uses HTTPs protocol. fortunately, Bing uses Http.
Thus, I suggest that you make a thread on 'How to Search in Bing' lol

Care to share? I know that exploiting ISP vulnerabilities is complicated... but not as complicated as finding them!
About your application... you can use an FTP server! You check the version if it is higher you download and replace, delete or modify the old scripts (files or module), won't that work for you? if no, could you please provide more info why not?
Note: to do so you have to build an updater, a little application that does this check... just like in MMORPG Games!

Don't you think the FTP Credentials would have to be hard coded to the program, Wouldn't it make this a security hazard?

Believe it or not... no it won't, you restrict FTP (public) user to the home directory only... just a simple example:
http://portal.hostingcontroller.com/KB/a215/how-to-restrict-linux-ftp-users-their-own-home-directory.aspx
I don't think that I need to mention the user permissions!
