• HC dynamic interface using HTML Scraping technique to collect data from the forum (sections and threads only), then represent the "data" using D3js library, so the final interface will look like this, this is a very interesting project and the result (the code) will be publish on HC (as a humble gift from us to the community), you will need to already know the basics of the language you want to use for this project, because in this project you will learn:
  • HTML Scraping in Python, JS or PHP (choice is yours)
    
  • SVG basics and D3.js
    
  • Handling JSON, XML files (again choice is yours)

• WinPcap/Pcap based projects: this is extremely important, because once you understand this library and know how to use it ... there will be no limits to what you can do, and to start with we will make a small tool for my friend @Riverclawz that will monitor new DHCP requests and modify the MAC address of the local machine (Windows 7)! You should know the basics of C or C++ to participate in this project, but generally all are welcome to participate (or just watch), I started a thread about how to setup/load WinPcap library into Visual C++ 2010 here. • ASCII Art bot in Python: this script is a bot for IRC channels, that take as an input a link to an image (online) and convert it to ASCII art then print it in a private message to the user... Can you imagine the fun?

• I am not going to teach you how to program, but I may teach you how to develop!

• The goal of this project is to work in groups, not to actually make a successful product! So I really don't care about the result as much as about the process itself!
  
• We will be meeting once a day (IRC channel), I will make a channel where you can join the meeting.

• All the tools that we are making will be published under HC and we will publish the code too!
