Who/what is rudy? - rudy - 03-20-2014

I've seen like 5 different threads with the beginning,

"Hi rudy, "

Who is rudy? Lol.

rudy would be you unless I'm very much mistaken.

what you are seeing is the user module when someone creates a post with [username*] (remove the *) everyone who views the post see their user name in place of the user tag.

[username] <-- try it log out and view this post and you will see "guest" in place of "rudy"

No I mean like, who are people addressing when they say "Hi rudy," at the beginning of their thread?

Examples:
Here, bluedog begins with "Hi rudy, "

Here, psycho_coder begins with "Hello rudy, "

I think I saw the same thing in a couple other posts, can't find them though.

They are addressing everyone using the username tag I just described, it just makes the thread a little more personal. as I said in my previous post the username tag changes to display the username of whoever is viewing it for example both of those threads when I view them start with "Hi chmod"
