how to root android on PC - loading... - 03-19-2014
I need specific instructions on how to root an LG L38C running 2.2.6 I believe is the OS version. Im on windows vista and dont have much experience with phones. I've tried Google, Bing, and Youtube but they all want me to download something and i'd prefer not to. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

To root the device without downloading software you will have to have a deep understanding of how Android works in order to find a vulnerability within the OS that allows privilege escalation up to root.
If you are worried about downloading a virus have a look at xda-developers they are dedicated to all things mobile including rooting and custom firmware.
