Well, you can rather easily compare the md5 checksum from the original provider to see if the distro has been modified in any way but these are free operating systems. I dont get why you wouldnt just download them from the source. A comparison page is alright... even a link to the distro download page is alright. But considering how many distros there are its gotta be hell insuring that every download is offering the latest versions. Not to mention that the distro pages usually offer regional mirrors so you can choose a faster download option. |
