C++ language - Anasanas701 - 10-20-2013

guys what does it mean in code::block for c++ "can't find compiler executable in your configured search path's for GNU GCC compiler"

RE: C++ language - bluedog.tar.gz - 10-20-2013

Why is this in the introduction section?
Common sense please.

This belongs in the http://www.hackcommunity.com/Forum-C-C-Objective-C-and-other-C-based forum section.

"can't find compiler executable in your configured search path's for GNU GCC compiler"

I think it should be self explanatory. It can't find the compiler configured in your IDE's settings, so you can't compile to output any binary file.

Open Code::Blocks IDE, go to settings menu -> Compiler and Debugger. A dialog window will open, click on the Toolchain executables.
Look the path in Compiler's installation directory if it is correct and your compiler exists there.

If the above doesn't work then that means you don't have the mingw compiler installed. Then do this :-
Download this http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/?source=dlp That's the compiler that isn't actually there, you need to have it installed in order to use it. After installation is complete open CodeBlocks.
Go to settings>Compiler>ToolChainExecutables and click the auto-detect button, and it should now detect the compiler you have just installed.
