Self Introduction GothamusArch - GothamusArch - 10-15-2013
Good Morrow good people,
the name is GothamusArch, I am new to hacking and linux as a whole, I would say I am a beginner and I am here to learn all I can about "hacking"/ network security and vulnerability etc, I am running archlinux on my home machine. thank you to bluedog for welcoming me a big wazuuup to all hackcommunity people.

Welcome to the forums we have plenty to get you started in the tutorial section. What made you go with Arch? it's not really the distro most new users use although I do recommend anyone new to Linux to at least try it as it forces you to learn.

I am fairly new, but with archlinux I have a little experience in it and it allows me to practice and build a system I want, not really conforming to the norm of out of the box OS' like ubuntu windows etc, Plus its a rolling release thus making the latest and greatest software available....

Just FYI if you want to get a quick response from a user either quote the message you wish to discuss or use the @ mention feature which is just putting the @ symbol in front of the username (surrounded in "'s ). This will give the user an alert and they will see it straight away
arch Linux is very good for that I have used it myself in the past (a long time ago) but no longer use it due to the fact I'm lazy and can't be bothered to configure everything manually :Sarcastic:
It does however force you to learn how to do things manually which I think is very good for learning.

yeah that's what I like about it, you manually configure the OS... what are you currently using as your OS?

My daily is Fedora 19 and I use kali for pen testing
