Although there is many good options. RE: Linux OS.... - HiddenGhost - 08-25-2013 I was thinking either Ubuntu or Mint RE: Linux OS.... - The Real Slim Shady - 08-25-2013 Ask 20 people which linux distro is the best and youll probably get at least 10 different answers. So. Best for what exactly? RE: Linux OS.... - HiddenGhost - 08-25-2013 The best for programmes etc. RE: Linux OS.... - The Real Slim Shady - 08-25-2013 (08-25-2013, 10:45 AM)HiddenGhost Wrote: The best for programmes etc. pogrammes etc is not much more descriptive. different operating systems have strengths or weaknesses. Some are better or designed specifically for specific activies, like backtrack and hacking... or some are specifically designed to be a desktop alternative with wide support for drivers and software. others are stronger for software or linux developers. some are better for those that want complete customisation of their system. some are designed specifically for running network services... home media centres. some try to be a bit of every thing. None of them are really best at every thing but they are all good for most things. I heard thats the best RE: Linux OS.... - chmod - 08-29-2013 Windows 7 is not Linux and for programming a Linux distribution is far better equipped than a Windows box with a host of languages installed out of the box. RE: Linux OS.... - Redauser - 08-30-2013 Imho Debian is the best one, it's the base for most common linux distro. With Debian you can do whatever you want! |
