skype 64bit - diana32 - 07-27-2013
I search a solution to install skype for backtrack distribution 64 bit.Since windows buy the skype this thing is disponible only on 32 bit distro,and i do not want to install all the package to run the 32 version.Is someone how has a good link to install this fucking skype?

Wouldn't that install the 32bit application as that seems to be the only version they offer for non Winblows OS' the only thing I can think of currently would be to try and find an old version, I know they used to offer a 64 bit deb package but it seems they have taken it down. Or you could run the Winblows installer through wine and run it that way.
Let this be a lesson to all Microshite destroy everything they touch trying to force people to use an inferior OS, using the vast profits they made ripping people off in the past to buy out the competition.
On a side note the 32bit version will run fine on a 64bit installation I know it's not ideal, but it will do, one other thing why are you wanting to install Skype on BT? I don't mean to pry but it wasn't really designed to do day to day activities like this.

unfortunatly it seems that dpkg not work - and this is the reason - since the backtrack has a ubuntu distribution - they are closed so i cannot run this command - i try also to run aptitude and untill a certain point ,works, but it stop read this :

I know the backtrack is not build to day by day use - untill i refix my windows -i'm lazzy to do'it i can use the skype ,but i search and try - for two weeks to reinstall the skype , i see that nothing work. Maybe i should copy all my info and remake all my op sistem.

Nevermind - i reinstall my windows in dual boot whith fedora - so i should be able to use winzozz - thank you anyway ,i suggest to close the thread.
