hi i just started on this forum as you can tell. it's my first try at hacking. I'm not doing this for money or to be a dumbass or shit like that. I'm trying to get a better understanding of networking and network security and maybe do grayhat hacking if anything not blackhat (no jail thank you very much) and maybe whitehat. so if anyone has any tips on where to start i would love to hear em. i got backtrack already and I'm playing around with the nmap command so that's where i'm at now.

Welcome to the community.
Backtrack is not all, though it's much, learn how to use Metasploit, and I'd also suggest you to learn coding.

I know quite a bit of coding and just wondering where would be a nice place to get the metasploit framework down?
