Look getting a girlfriend throung chatting a Game Of Mind.So there a several steps to get.Just read it properly.
THE KEY IS TO BE CREATIVE
Before Doing All Just go through her profile.Look whether she is single or not.
Step 1 - As we always start the chat using just - "Hii".But itz donot work all the time.So i strongly recomndate you to start telling something other Just like (example)-
Me - g (just write some thing random)
(after few sec)
Me - Sorry for that.
She will reply saying "its ok" or any other.(It works 99% of the time).
OR
( Its the time - 3 AM)
Me - Hy why are you so late.
She - actually i had some work.
Me - How was the work.
She - Fine.
{So you started the conversation}
Step 2 - Now you have to carry on the convers. Just talk about her likes that you got from her profile.As woman like entertained so just keep her entertained.YOU MAY ASK HER A ABOUT HER SELF.Also you can tell her that --- "YOU HAVE BEEN SO BEAUTIFULL R N T YOU"
Step 3 - Donot Propose her while chating becase it does not work most of the time.So after a long conversation you can as her to hang out some day.If she say no the donot worry tell her you may tell - Any other time.
Step 4 - Be confident . Also donot be rude.Because they donot look for good looks they look for guys of very good personality.

My advice would be - Go out and meet new people, if you're an asshole and noone likes you much, then @bluedog.tar.gz 's advice should work just fine.
