Hi
i have HTC Desire A8181(Bravo)..
i just install Android v2.3.3(GingerBread) from HTCDev.com.. now i want to install custom ROMS but how to install it i also try to Root my Phone but nothing happends how should i know My Phone is rooted or not ... Pz help me i want latest Android v4.1 on my HTC Desire...Thanks

Try to install any CPU overclocking program like No-frills CPU control. It would prompt if your device is not rooted.
I could not root my tab in Windows 8 because of driver issues, but worked from Windows 7.
I never installed any custom roms, but shouldn't be any problem just search for a complete guide.
And remember, be prepared for anything you may brick your device.

When i rooted my U8220 with android it bricked the first time...
As Coder-san states, and i agree, it is highly suggested doing ALOT of research on your particular phone before trying anything.
backups don't count for squat if your phone is bricked, also, unlike nokia, most andriod phones do not have a dead USB flash feature. if you corrupt your ROM its game over.
