[Tutorial]: How to make lightning! [Photoshop CS5] - Relevance - 12-01-2012
Hey [username] here is a simple tutorial for you on how to make a lightning effect in photoshop CS5!
1. Make a new file which is 400x300 with the BG color white.

2. Next go to FILTER -> RENDER -> CLOUDS
Should Look Like This

3. Then goto FILTER -> RENDER -> DIFFERENCE CLOUDS(on the same file)
It should look like this !

4. Then IMAGE -> ADJUSTMENTS -> INVERT
Then It will look like this

5. Then IMAGE -> ADJUSTMENTS -> LEVELS -> Move The Middle Arrow To this.

It should look like this now.

6.Now you are done! If you wanna change the color do this: IMAGE -> ADJUSTMENTS -> COLOR BALANCE.

Play around with your colors and it will change the stuff like

And then I changed up the colors to make the

Nice work, but you need to clear up the lightning and blend if you want to use it effectively.
