What is BotnetOnline? - 1llusion - 07-23-2013 Botnet Online is a text-based on-line game inspired by the world of hackers. It aims to be one of a kind and accomplishes that with unique features. Unlike the majority of the games, player isn't just a part of the game, but instead, player is the game. All of the game systems reflect users actions and behave according to them. Each and every action will affect the whole server, either in a good way, or a bad way. That is up to you! There is no level or class system, as I believe these systems just limit the players and make the game unbalanced. Instead BNO will provide you with enough choices and it will be up to you what you want to do. BNO is currently in early testing and major features are still being developed. NOTE: BNO is currently being re-written. I'll be updating this list according to my progress. Existing features:

Finishing it will still take some time (a lot actually). Why not apply for a speed-tester and experience it before others? http://www.hackcommunity.com/Thread-BotnetOnline-Need-testers
RE: What is BotnetOnline? - Linuxephus™ - 07-23-2013 This has progressed far more and quicker than even I anticipated. There's literally an entire world ready for the playing in every literal sense of the word. RE: What is BotnetOnline? - 1llusion - 07-23-2013 (07-23-2013, 02:20 AM)Linuxephus™ Wrote: This has progressed far more and quicker than even I anticipated. That is exactly what I aim for. Like an open-world game, but text-based. The Quantum Computer is there just so there is some actual way to see who is good and who isn't, because there is no other way of telling (due to the many possible paths a user can take). Additionally, it gives users some goal, what I noticed was, that the testers logged in and asked "so what now?" Exactly, especially being new to an unfamiliar new game until the learning curve is picked up upon. I'm admiring the thought of an open world game scenario myself from what I've seen thus far.
