actionscript - obaidunderscore - 10-28-2012
so here is the situation i want to start with actionscript and want to know how can i setup my computer for it like for python i downloaded it from their website and started writing programs i need detailed information about how to do it or just post a link to a website that explains it for noobs like me if you can,t find any website like that then please explain the following things
1)how to write it like for python i use notepad and put .py at the end
2)from where i download the software like for python to start with i need to download it from the website
3)when i download it how do i open it like for python i just go to start>programs>python........
4)some basic commands on how to start

as far as i know...
python can save with .txt format...
and u need python for
IronPython (Python running on .NET)
Jython (Python running on the Java Virtual Machine)
PyPy (A fast python implementation with a JIT compiler)
Stackless Python (Branch of CPython supporting microthreads)
after you save you can put that apps in start menu...
please choose...
i think better you learn before use it...

Do you mean Flash Action script or another thing (if exist)? you have to be specify otherwise no one would like to answer .
and since there is no direction from Python please do not add misleading words on the thread .
If you are talking about Flash Action Script you can use . Adobe Flash or , Macromedia Flash MX or similar software to run the codes and whole part.

i got the rest but when i save my text file as .as then i can,t open it with MX and when i try to open it with DREAMWEAVER it gives me the same output as text editor gives me. So can you please tell me how can i run the file which i saved as .as ?
