Network security challenge - gallinson34 - 10-02-2012 Hi there, wondering if anyone may be able to help me with this issue. I've just moved into a new University and their network security is a ball ache. I only have access via Ethernet, and I cannot set up my own extended network with a basestation etc as it will not let me register the device. Which severely restricts my usage of tablets as there is no wireless near my room. Anyone give me suggestions on how to bypass the LAN security when setting up my apple airport extreme base station? Or somewhere I mind find more information to get me started on how to do this? RE: Network security challenge - Asuna_mybb_import7736 - 10-02-2012 Is your problem blocked sites??
RE: Network security challenge - muhammad fakir - 10-02-2012 what is popup massage displayed? 405? or password required? RE: Network security challenge - gallinson34 - 10-04-2012 so when I connect a laptop via wireless to the base station, it just prompts me to register the device and I can only go on the registration pages. But registering the base station does not work so it just continually prompts me to register it. Any ways to get around these sorts of systems/override the registration process? |
