HC Current situation - VirusHacker - 09-08-2012
Been a long time since the 7th sage & Codersan retired I rarely saw the post and good thread the first member active here(between 2010-mid 2011), like a 1234hotmaster, Enc0de, Jacob and others. and to be honest I think this makes HC became quiet and boring (sorry).
my question:
exactly, what happened to them?
Where are they now?
sorry I'm making this thread, but I feel just like that.
I think this is also related to the number of active members and new members
I hope that the HC become crowded with good threads and posts that help members who need it :wub:.

HC is changing, I'm doing everything to make it the best i can.
Also the old members are still here, except jacob who is busy with his IRL atm.
Also without these changes HC would already be dead.

My Quection is what kind of tutorials we missed as ethical Hacking forum?
and most of the members here are not skids and they do not asking or posting any skid quiz as like other skid forums
but once some new bie come here and asking something see how fast members will reply , it wiill only take 3 - 5 min
if not missed members are still here as everyone was , most of them are busy with IRL , but they are visiting everyday and check HC , coz this is everyone beloved Hacking forum

Shining White: I don't agree. I'm going to be sincere now. I myself don't come to HC so often anymore, because I don't like much where is it going. It seems to rather promote and reward quantity of threads and posts, instead of quality, so I'm not really very keen sharing my experience and helping others here or even writing tutorials and put effort into something, because it just gets lost in tons of other quick-made threads, posts with no real value and such.
Ethical hacking should be about intelligence, valuing information and being able to think and put effort into things, not hoarding posts to get the super-cool achievement. I feel that HC is changing that.
There's also the thing that certain admin was quite rude to me in IM's, sending me offensive messages and pictures, despite the fact that I asked him not to on numerous occasions, so would you blame me if I grow somewhat reluctant going here when I get treated like that? If you want to make a good quality forums, don't act like an immature jerk to the members. It should be ethical hacking forums, so you should learn to be ethical too.
There I said it. I don't care if you decide to ban me for daring to say anything bad about admin. Ethical hackers should value truth and learn to accept it and deal with it, if you want to censor it and silence it, it's one more reason to not come here and it's the reason why the quality of this forum will be going down. If you want to make a better quality forum, where people will be going for the quality information, you should treat them with respect and behave maturely, instead of some kiddie. And the most mature and best thing you can do, is accept it, admit it and change it, for the better. I'm not saying this to insult anyone, I'm saying it so you can change it for the better, take it as a feedback. I know more good people who already left HC completely because of these reasons. You're scaring many HQ people away by what you're doing, so it should be a signal to change something. It's like the saying "It's human to err, but only idiot keeps doing them over and over again".

as it contains good information about how to behave in mature hacker community and I can tell you myself, it works very well, because I'm part of such community and HC has a lot of catching up to do in this regard. People are usually respectful to each other, don't freak out because they did something wrong or bad, but learn from it and say sorry if needed, instead of keeping a grudge. I myself am willing to forgive anyone, if they're really sorry and make things better again, I'm not very fond when they behave like that. I am also sorry for bad things that I sometimes do myself, but that doesn't mean I'll fine with being treated badly either.
