metasploit remote computer and network portforwarding - goinsurgency - 05-19-2012 I am using metasploit and I tried to use hail mary with armitage to expose a remote computer on a different network than the one I am using with metasploit. I downgraded to metasploit 3.7 and tried the same thing with db_autopwn. It still did work. I was not getting any meterpreter sessions, however there where several exploits I could use. My question is do I need to portforward to exploit a remote computer with meterpreter or any other metasploit exploits. Also how do I do this. I know how to portforward. RE: metasploit remote computer and network portforwarding - 1llusion - 05-19-2012 Yes you need to portforward. Check the port that the payload uses and forward that port =) RE: metasploit remote computer and network portforwarding - goinsurgency - 05-19-2012 do i still need to portforward if i am using armitage hail mary, i ask because it doesn't give me that option before hand. or what about db_autopwn? the payloads are automatic right? I just started using metasploit last month, so any detail would be greatly appropriated RE: metasploit remote computer and network portforwarding - 1llusion - 05-19-2012 The armitage is just to help you sort your exploits or? There is nothing about portforwarding, you need the portforwarding after you exploit your target. I've done a quick search on db_autopwn and found this video: http://youtu.be/H5QshgliI54 At 1:41 you can see menu of db_autopwn (type db_autopwn -h to see it) and you can select a few payloads there. |
