Font Signature [Tutorial] - Shadow Hunter - 07-24-2011

1.Open Up a document of 600 x 400.
2.Fill The foreground color with #000000 and Background color with #ff0000.Right click on

the layer and go to Blending options > Gradient Overlay. Choose the red and black gradient.

Opadcity : 100%
Reverse : No
Style : Linear
Scale : 100
Rest : deafault

3.Choose the carbon pattern.

How to Install patterns:

To choose pattern Go to Layer > New fill layer > Pattern...>Press OK to confirm > Select

the dropdown Box and Choose the third carbon pattern.

4. Now Select the pattern layer and then Layer > Restersize > Layers

5.First zoom your image to 700 % Now Select > Color Range... > Now from the actual image

click on the grey part Of the carbon Pattern > Press ok to confirm and then Press 'delete'

button on your keyboard.

6.Right click on the Background layer and Merge visible.Select the rounded rectangular tool and make a shape of the size of your sig.(Radius 10px). Go to Layer > Restersize > Layer.

Then Go to Select > Load Selection > and now click on The Previously Merged layer. Again go

to Select > Inverse and then delete. Now Right click on the rectangular shape and delete it.

We don't need it anymore.Press enter.

7. Now right click on the lyaer Go to blending Options > (i) Inner Shadow
Opacity : 100%
Distance : 0
Choke : 8
Size : 10
(ii) Bevel and emboss
Depth : 1000
Size : 2
Soften : 16
(iii) Stroke
Color : white
Size : 2
The Border(stroke) could have benn done in a better way. But I am tired now.Ask me if you

need it.

8.Now download the Slant FOnt

Now choose Forgeround Color as #000000 and the background color #626262

Right Click on text layer > Blending options > (i) Gradient overlay
Gradient : grey and white
Opacity : 100%
Style : Reflected
Angle: -90
Scale: 106 %

(ii) Stroke
Color : White
Size : 1

9.Now for the animation part, go to Window(in the title bar.) > Animation.Animation frames will be available below.A small Square box is present at the bottom line. [Image: Untitled-8-1.png]

clicking that will allow us to duplicate frames.don't duplicate now.

10.Make a new layer and fill it with white color. Now select the font layer and go to select

> load selection. Again select the new layer right click on it and select 'select inverse'

and press delete.Press enter.

11. Download rectangular brushes

Now duplicate That layer 11 times. Hide all except the first one. Using the rectangular brushes as erasers erase the white part like this.

Hide that layer and unhide the next one and erase like this.

You can figure out the squence i guess. And thereby do that to the next layers as well.

12.Now select each duplicated layer > right click > blending options > outer glow
1. opacity :100%
2. Color : white
3. size : 8
4. Make deafault.
Do this to all the layers that you have duplicated and erased.

13.Now duplicate the frame as many times + 1 as the layers you erased.

Other than the first one, for each of the frames(from frame 2) unhide one layer. like this
Do this till all of those layers are duplicated once.Delete the first frame after work is done.

14.Now save the image by file > save for web and devices > select GIF on top right corner and save.

Sorry I didn't put much effort in doing the animated part, so it's a bit clumsy.

Any problem or need the .psd , just reply here.

mate since you are completely new to photoshop , you should not try this out.It's gonna make your head pain.but you can try till the no-animation part by following the steps properly.Other than that , about a video??I don't think I will Sad
