That hot ice i made in chemistry lesson, it looks nice!

2nd video is i think halogene?

RE: Crazy Science Videos - FunKx - 06-28-2011

The first video is impressive Smile

The first video is pretty easy to make, I remember doing it in chemistry. Here is a simple guide how:
1. Mix vinegar and baking soda until it stops dissolving, this creates the sodium acetate. However, it is a diluted form.
2. Take your solution and put it in a pot. You will need to boil it in order to get rid of the water that was in the vinegar and create a solution that contains more sodium acetate then it can theoretically hold. It will smell really weird when you're boiling it.
3. Once you boil it down enough (vingear is like 94% water, so you need to boil off maybe like 80-90% of the water), you have the solution the guy in the video had. If you pour it out, it should immediately start to crystallize to form "ice". It will also produce heat as it solidifies.

No, this isn't one of the troll thing that will kill you like "Make your own crystals at home!". You can look it up and check out the chemical equations if you don't believe me.
