Making Robots? - ShawnReynolds - 11-23-2014
How do I make robots? Would this be called mechatronics? I searched online, but I want to actually learn how to build stuff like this, I do not just want a tutorial. Do you know of any free online classes for this kind of stuff?

You're thinking it's more difficult than it is, you can go to your local hobby store and pick up fully customizable kits. Most of them also use text-based, and simplified programming languages now a days with predefined basic variables.
Also you claim you are in a poor family but robotics is not a cheap hobby by any means.

I do not have a local hobby store. The closest one to me is in White Marsh mall in Baltimore, and I refuse to go into Baltimore. I only have $7 dollars anyway. I know it is not cheap, but I plan on getting a job when I turn 16, I do not think my family is really poor, as I just found out my parents keep buying new tablets, yet they keep talking about us not being able to pay for food.

Only when people tell me to buy stuff, or when I know people will say it. I do not say it unless it is necessary, and yet some people still tell me to but stuff.
