Made with a noise-isolating design and producing clear and solid sound, these earphone are a great way to enjoy your favorite music from your iPod or other portable music device. They fit comfortably into the ears and produce solid bass notes and clear midrange tones, both normally a weakness in earphones, thanks to the large 14.2 mm driver unit. The 48" cord is completely covered in fabric, which helps prevent breakages. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo plug connects to most popular music devices and phones, with better connectivity and corrosion resistance than the more common nickel and tin-plated connectors. Above is the description they give for these buds on the site. I have to say, the words are there to hook you, but the product is actually amazing for the price. These are not going to beat higher-end earbuds, but they beat every pair of earbuds I've owned (the best being a set of $60 Sennheisers). All of the tones are crisp, and almost any song sounds good with them. These things have built up a massive reputation on audophile forums such as head-fi, and they deserve it. Amazing sound on a budget.
Some things have changed since the product was first put out. Due to complaints about the size of the tips, they have actually started to included 2 extra sizes in all models, which is fantastic, because the stock tips are pretty big. However, for the price tag, I wouldn't even complain.
