So, today I went to renew a domain of mine on godaddy. I always use real billing info but have always had the domain contact info set to a fake name and adress so I don't have to pay extra for privacy, but today when I went to renew it, I didn't realise until after I pressed the final order button that I never changed the billing address, so right now on my card is processing a domain renewal for a fake name and address. Did I fuck up and did anything happen or will they just not take the money and I'll have to just renew correctly next them?

You done fucked up, kiddo. It probably won't process since it's not the same address as on the card, and they might contact your bank for fraud or something. Don't quote me on that, I use PayPal to pay for my domains.

Considered using paypal but it automatically remembered my card and I was feeling lazy. Welp, hopefully they won't contact the bank and will just email me about it not processing at some point, at which point I'll renew it.

You should be fine. Explain that the account is shared and you accidentally put your friend's information for your card.

Welp, it was done on my mum's card and I told her straight after I used the wrong billing address and she asked what to look for on her card as the address and I let her know, I know she was near her bank yesterday and I've still gotten no email and my domain is still fine, so I think she may have gone in the bank and told them to let it through.
