PS3 Jailbreak - B1G_BaNaNNa - 07-27-2014
CFW= Custom FirmWare
DEX = debug console
CEX = regular jailbroken console
OFW = official firmware
Note: you must be on a 3.55 firmware for this to work, it does work on fat and slim models i do not know about the super slims
Step 1: Download you CFW a google search will provide you with links, trust nothing above 3.55, i'd recommend only trusting CFW's from nextgenupdate (user safety not advertising )
Step 2: Installing CFW via XMB
The file you download will be named "PS3UPDAT.PUP" if not rename it to that, and copy like below in a FAT32 Flash memory :
PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
Go to XMB==>> System Setting ==> System Update and select Update via Storage Media.
It's all done.
Step 3:Installing multiMAN Backup Manager
I Created a Package That is include Latest Version of multiMAN With Support CFW 4.46 Mixed with Cobra 7.00
Download multiMAN ver 04.53.01 BASE CEX
After Download extract The Package and Then copy "multiMAN ver 04.53.01 BASE CEX " into a FAT32 Flash memory and Go to Install Package in XMB and Install it

Thanks for the tutorial! I've been considering jailbreaking my PS3 now for a bit, since I'd rather not pay a lot to have the disc reader repaired.

I can vouch for b1g, he knows his ps3 stuff. Yea but most people are not going to know how to get to 3.55. It requires an e3 flasher or similar for those who do not know. I may post a tutorial on how to rtm later.

same i have a debug console used it for 3 weeks straight now it collects dust
