CryptoLocker - anybody know if there is a fix for this readily available (not prevention) ?
I know somebody that has been hit and don't have access now to a lot of family photo's etc.

There's no current fix to CryptoLocker. Except if you had back-up of that data or the Shadow Volume Copy Service enabled, there's no way to recover your encrypted data. HOWEVER, during the raid against GameOver ZeuS, FoxIT and FireEye recovered 50,000 private keys used by CryptoLocker to encrypt files on various computers. They created a website allowing you to request your private key used on your files and if found, you'll be sent the decrypt application with your private key.
