[Idea] ExtendedMath Class - Shebang - 03-14-2014
I was thinking about making a class in a bunch of different languages to replace the default Math class. The purpose would be to simply introduce new functions not covered by the original class. As such, I would need to re-write the whole existing class' functions to work independently from the original class. I would then add more things that the original class cannot do.
I was just wondering if there was a point. I get that in .NET-dependent languages this would make no difference as Math is a dependency by default. However, it could be useful in other languages where you are required to import something like cmath in Python.

Math can't be a dependency because it's a class, not a dll. The dependency here is mscorlib.dll, not "Math". Why would you re-write it though entirely instead of just writing a class that helps add onto it?

I was oversimplifying. I understand that Math is just a class in mscorlib.
And that's true. I just wanted to try writing it from scratch for the purpose of experimenting.
