Political Spectrum - Singularity - 03-02-2014 ![]() Where do you stand on politics? I would post a picture showing you the spectrum, but I cannot seem to find one that is worth mentioning. Personally I have been a little everywhere. I considered myself a liberal and I was all about equality and justice for all. Like how most people are. I started really thinking about it and my views started changing. I went to communism, all the way to anarchism. Finding my political identity was a rough ride. I joined a group called the "third position" which basically took political ideologies from all over the spectrum. I learned a lot from the group, but decided to leave because they started turning more into a hate group. Now I have settled down and I get my political ideologies from a few places. Mussolini and Hitler have giving me great insight on development, people and advancing the human race. While I also picked up some ideas from Aristocracy and Geniocracy after researching the Greek and Roman empire a lot more. Something I have learned through my research is that individualism, equality and the left side of the spectrum is for a self sustaining and fully developed nation, While the right side of the spectrum and being more state oriented is for the growth and expansion of a nation. It has been a small dream of mine to start a think tank/ political group that would create a manifesto and actually try to get into politics. /Thoughts? RE: Political Spectrum - Saikou - 03-02-2014 ![]() Conservative. Freedom. Liberty. 'Merica. I come out as just Right of Centre but strongly liberal, which is about right I'd say. I am more of a pragmatic floating voter than having an allegiance to a specific party/ideology. RE: Political Spectrum - Kureo - 03-05-2014 I don't in general care about politics. Life moves on, times change regardless of what you do. The wrong thing about politics is that they are the same way as religions, they believe in a certain way regarding the current situation. Tyranny may be the best option in one case, and in the next Liberty may be the best answer. Peace, control and perfection isn't gained by simply holding one side of a thing. Its gained by combining both sides of that same coin, as one half is just that, one half. People in politics spend more time fighting for their side, rather than working to understand the other side. That is why politics has always been boring to me, its the way humans have decided to battle this era. Same as we fought with wars and weapons in the older times, now we fight with words, control and power. I know a few people that dont care for it and some philosophers preferred to stay out of it as well, but I feel as though if you just let others make the decisions for you it often wont be in the direction you want. Its better to have a say than just live life however you are told too. Based on your reasoning why even live life? Personally I have no real reason to be alive, but I also have no reason to be dead. I do find enjoyment in drifting around, seeing how the world changes, how people change and what choices they do. Will people make the choices that will lead towards destruction? Or will they chose the path that goes towards a better future and what are they willing to give for that? As I said, to me. Being alive is pointless, and I doubt I will ever find a reason. Though, it is still interesting to see others resolve, and seeing their hopes, dreams and goals become reality. Though I have only ever found a single person that has ever surprised me with their resolve and that person is now dead. So now I am waiting around for the next person to surprise me to come around. Not take any sides, but just.. watch. That has been a.. thought of mine. Just to be able to not play the game, but just watch it. Are you familiar with transhumanism? I very rarely interfere with problems other have, unless it can damage those I care about deeply. If that is a possible outcome then I will try to avoid that outcome at any cost, but I will not rob people of the right to make their own future. I do tend to say objective and view both sides, that is what I have done my entire life ( more or less ) and I plan to do that for the time being. ( Until as I said, find someone who is interesting enough to focus on. ) Also, isn't transhumanism the art of enhancing the human race through the use of technology? I am not all that familiar with it, but I know of it. ( Until as I said, find someone who is interesting enough to focus on. ) That is very good thinking. I used to be like that until recently when I really started to think about things. That type of thinking is what we need for the future. If you want to learn more about it and hear my theory/ideas and maybe talk a bit message me. |
