Concerts - Valentino - 01-13-2014

Anyone ever been to a concert? If so, who did you go see? Are there any other bands you'd like to see live?

I just went to my first concert last month Tongue Went to go see Styx and it was pretty damn awesome. I'd love to go see Triumph, Rush, Journey and Green Day I think.

I love going to concerts. I have seen:

Chevelle (2x)
Crossfade (2x)
Breaking Benjamin
Staind
The Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Plain White Ts
Smile Empty Soul
Hinder
Black Stone Cherry
Heart
Saliva
Shinedown (2x)
Mark Chestnutt (Country singer...I'm from the South, okay?)

I think that's it, other than smaller bands.

I've never seen the point of going to concerts... There aren't anything directly positive about it compared to listening to music at home. ( Besides the minor social part of it, however that alone doesn't weight up for all the negative )

I think they're fun and a lot different than listening to music at home. I love the atmosphere and vibe of being around other music fans, plus it's just something that is "different" from your average routine. Plus, you can get a better idea of a band's talents -- I mean, some bands are great live and some suck when they can't redo the song a hundred times before recording it.

As I said, the social aspects of going to a concert doesn't weight up for all the negative of it. Though the fact that a few bands may be better live helps on that. ( However, not enough )

Hey, to each his/her own, right? There's no reason to go if you don't enjoy them -- it's a bit too costly to be something that you don't like.

I went for the experience, and I had a blast. I had never went to a concert before so when I heard one of my favourite bands was coming to my home town I had to go. It was amazing seeing them live, and it's great to support them too Smile

Money's never been the issue, even if I didn't like it. However, it is as you said. It would be a rather bad choice to go to something you dislike. ( However, this is a thread which was created to discuss this point. So that is what I am doing )

I agree. I catch concerts whenever I can if it's a band that I like.

Absolutely Biggrin If any other bands I like head this way I'd definitely want to go. You have a really nice list going too ^_^ Which concert was your first?
