Do opposites really attract? - True2marie - 01-03-2014 In college, I read that opposites really DON'T attract. In general, people from the same backgrounds and race tend to marry and ride off into the sunset together. If they are different, it's a difference they both accept or enjoy. So, do you think opposites really attract? RE: Do opposites really attract? - Feat - 01-03-2014 I don't really believe that when it comes to relationships opposites really don't attract. If anything it is more or less about similarities. RE: Do opposites really attract? - Emerald - 01-03-2014 Opposite personalities, similar interests. IMO that is the ideal situation. RE: Do opposites really attract? - LindaKay - 01-13-2014 I agree with Emerald. I don't think the two of you can be exactly alike. I mean, it's generally best for one person to be more outspoken and for one person to be more reserved. I do think it is important to have some similar interests, etc. though. RE: Do opposites really attract? - Kureo - 01-13-2014 Two people that are completely alike each other would never be a good fit. They would easily grow tired of one and another, people who share similarities, yet they also have different ones are the ones that I think will hold together throughout life. RE: Do opposites really attract? - theshaynee - 01-14-2014 Absolutely. It's important to have stuff in common, of course. But two different personality types can absolutely be attracted to each other. My girlfriend and I have been together for four years now. She came from a very privileged background. Both her parents were teachers so they had lots of money. My parents were stoners and we grew up relatively poor. We never went hungry but we were poor. She is a really outgoing person to the point that she can be obnoxious if you don't know her. I'm much laid back and like to observe people before approaching them or making my presence known. We love each other and our relationship is pretty steady. Her parents don't like me very much. My parents love her. She and I both have crappy work ethics. So yeah. It's working out. RE: Do opposites really attract? - Tersuss - 02-18-2014 I believe that they do, my girlfriend, now fiance of three years are very different people and we have been together for as long as we have, even have a daughter and so on. RE: Do opposites really attract? - pandandesign - 02-18-2014 I think it depends on the person. Some do and some don't. I would say some girls do attract me and some guys do, but for guys is the friendship kind of way. RE: Do opposites really attract? - 187 - 02-18-2014 I really do not think that opposites attract. people are not magnets. |
