Here is my simple yet effective method on how to get free Xbox Live:

STEPS:

1) Log into amazon.com
2) Search for your Xbox Live Gold Membership or Microsoft Points
3) When adding item to cart, select “Online Game Code” instead of the physical card
4) Redeem the code on your Xbox Live account
5) Then, contact Amazon saying the code has already been used, and is invalid

Here is an exemplary message sent to Amazon:

"Dear Amazon,

I have always been a loyal customer (only say if you have purchased from amazon before) and have never once been disappointed by your service. However, I recently purchased an Online Game Code for my nephew (GUILT-TRIP LOL) and he was extremely disappointed when we received an error message stating the code had already been used. After restarting the Xbox and attempting to enter the code numerous times, we called Microsoft. Not only were they rude, but they did not help us in any matter. We are frustrated and let down, and we ask for a refund, or possibly another code?

Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXXX"

You will either receive a full refund or another working code, which are both excellent outcomes.

This method has been working perfectly for over 2 years now, and I see no reason for it to stop working.

WARNING: Don’t abuse this method, and limit it to once a month or so. If you plan on using this more than once a month, create a new Amazon account with different credit card and different message.
