More Logo Designs! - cr33pyguy - 01-13-2014 So, here are my newest ideas... two versions, which is better? and of course, any feedback is welcome... Spoiler:![]() Spoiler:![]() EDIT: Hard to see now... wait just a sec EDIT #2: fixed. also, colors are undecided... I'll get those to you tomorrow morning in a separate thread. EDIT #3: Also thinking of making the style edges only... thoughts? RE: More Logo Designs! - Adorapuff - 01-13-2014 It seems really rough causing it to look unprofessional. The lock concept is interesting. RE: More Logo Designs! - cr33pyguy - 01-13-2014 (01-13-2014, 10:31 PM)Adorapuff Wrote: It seems really rough causing it to look unprofessional. The lock concept is interesting. Yeah, I'll get back to it tomorrow... I believe it is the 50% grey layer I applied on top of everything to make it show up (original color black for the essential design) RE: More Logo Designs! - Kureo - 01-13-2014 It looks really crispy, which is something that I recommend that you work on. The overall shape design of it is kinda interesting though. I'll make sure to see that the final is smoother ^^ RE: More Logo Designs! - 3SidedSquare - 01-14-2014 I prefer the first over the second, the boarder around the magnified portion clearly shows that it is part of the picture, enlarged. The second one looks like a mutated pizza. Other than that, just iron it out. RE: More Logo Designs! - ProfessorChill - 01-15-2014 The seem low QL, I would make those with illustrator just to smooth it out. RE: More Logo Designs! - Jiggly - 01-15-2014 I think one of the important aspects of designing a logo is not just about the design itself, but where it's going to be seen i.e. on a website or in a forum signature etc. The effect of what looks good and what doesn't will change depending one what is framing it in it's "surroundings" on the web. When there's a lot of space around it (as there is in the examples in this thread), the boxed in version looks better. In my opinion it puts a close on the shape and draws the eye to the shape. However, if the logo is surrounded by other things, it may have a different effect. Try it in different backgrounds (as in where it will be used) and see how that looks. I won't repeat the stuff about tidying it up since everyone's already mentioned it. I really love the design It's quirky and kinda clever - reminds me of a copyright sign breaking apart xD
RE: More Logo Designs! - Nuance - 01-15-2014 One thing you should stop worrying about is colors. Most logos have to be adaptable to change and work under several applications. It is best to work in black and white and only add colors and styles as the client asks for them or you deem worthy later on. Staying in a gray scale format makes it easier to judge your design and not your color choices instead. |
