Welcome! - Banadmin - 12-02-2013
Welcome to XboxForums!
XboxForums is the new Xbox gaming website on the block. We launched today (4th of December, 2013) due to the expected launch of the Xbox One console by Microsoft which was first launched in the United States of America on the 22nd of November. We are the new generation of gaming forums.
Forum Layout Explanation
At first, I wasn't very sure how to lay out our forum sections where the game discussion is concerned. Mainly due to the fact that the Xbox One has very few games that can run on that system specifically. You will be glad to hear though that I do plan to create some new game forum sections where the Xbox 360 is concerned. I hope you can "make do" with the forum sections we have thus far.
VIP
I do plan on releasing some sort of VIP status on Xbox Forums but it needs to be thought through a little. The VIP status will most likely be a monthly subscription like bigger gaming forums out there; mainly due to the reason that it works. I'm not quite sure on the price of this upgrade but don't expect it to be a high price as it is a monthly subscription and we're still a small forum. This is "most likely", not definitely. I may plan on releasing a permanent subscription straight off the bat or even after testing out the monthly subscription method. Query me on that one later.
Future Plans
It's not yet decided whether or not we will be staying on the free forum software 'MyBB'. We may decide to convert to a better/enhanced software; by "better" I mean more features to work with. Just now, here are my few plans:
- Custom theme
- Suitable smilies and post icons
- More forum sections
- New userbars
- VIP (of some sort)
- Awards system
