Quote:Fool Night is a bleak dystopian sci-fi thriller set in a sunless world where humanity is struggling to survive on dangerously thin oxygen levels. To keep society breathing, impoverished people can undergo a horrifying medical procedure to slowly transform into oxygen-producing plants in exchange for a massive government payout. The story follows a desperate man who takes the deal, only to gain the supernatural ability to hear the voices of plant-humans, pulling him into a dark socio-political murder mystery. The upcoming anime adaptation is a major industry event due to its rare, high-profile studio collaboration between Sunrise (Cowboy Bebop) and Shaft (Madoka Magica).
