DoorDash has agreed to a $131.5 million settlement with New York City over delivery-worker pay violations.

More than 260,000 NYC delivery workers could be affected. Eligible workers will be contacted automatically, and no claim is required for this settlement.

The settlement covers certain pay issues from April 22, 2022 through June 28, 2026. Some workers may receive several times what they were originally owed.

If you delivered for DoorDash in NYC during this period, keep an eye on the email connected to your Dasher account.

Services like Doordash never lose money, the cost always gets passed on to the consumer. Guessing that "service fee" is about to increase for anyone ordering food.

It's primarily why they chose to settle than to take it to court. It's faster for them to pay out and continue to do their thing than to fight it out.

100%. For them, it just means raising service fee or markup by a small percent.
