So my phone is starting to die and I was going to buy an insurance plan through square trade, only problem is they want a receipt to prove the phone was opurchased within 30 days of the insurance. I was going to make a amazon receipt but I'm not sure if they go the extra mile of validating the reciept

In my opinion insurance fraud isn't worth it: they make money carefully deciding which issues must be covered and which not, so there's a good chance they'll check if the invoice is valid.
