How long in between SE for amazon - jadsm - 11-22-2024

I recently did a DNA on amazon for $800. How long would be a good time to wait until I hit them again?

With a large $ value like that personally i've wait around 6 months minimum. I typically wait for the fiscal year to end go crazy on my aged account and then wait. I've had an account banned for too frequent refunds, I was hitting like $400 every 2 months. From my experience you can probably get away with 1200-1600 a year if you spread it out enough. I know people get away with a lot more but that usually puts your account at risk of suspension.

Amazon are crazy paranoid about refs these days. You can't really ref on one account more than 1-2 times per year.

For any normal shop though, 6 weeks in between refs or 6 purchases in between refs is a good rule of thumb.

My main account sees about $600 worth of SE activity per year. Don't want OFM coming after me, and a 500-700 range is what I'd assume is on the higher side for a normal customer.

Alright I see. I was trying to get a expensive macbook from them but I think waiting might be the move. It's a really aged account so I would prefer for nothing bad to become of it.

Oh I see thats good to know. I usually don't hit the same shop more than once but its nice to know that I can do refunds on the same shops

It seems to be a hit or a miss with me, I have had accounts going where I have done 2,000+ over 4/5 in a year with no issues. But right now I have an account that is almost 2 years older many legit purchases and zero refs done a legit return for a broken item and returned the item and they sent me the dreaded "Your account has too many refunds if this continues we will close down your account" hahaha so god knows what there issue is or how they work it.
