Boxing services? - Gertzerroz - 11-20-2024 What's the point of boxing services? I signed up for ftid.io and just deposited some money. Am I just paying for someone to ftidv3 photoshop a label and mail it? Any recommendations? Thanks, Gertz RE: Boxing services? - ruonis55 - 11-20-2024 Some people don't have time to get everything for the FTID and do it there self. Also there a risk of getting caught. Those methods were released to the internet some years ago, so you have to be naive to think that no one knows them, and you wouldn't get caught. If the method fails, you have to do it again and again, spending time, paper and etc. RE: Boxing services? - Gertzerroz - 11-20-2024 (11-20-2024, 08:14 PM)ruonis55 Wrote: Some people don't have time to get everything for the FTID and do it there self. FTID is slow and relies on the incompetence/laziness of the shipping company, where as other SE methods largely rely on your personal skill. FTID also opens up the possibility for mail fraud, which is a serious crime in most countries. Also when you get caught, your attempt at fraud is obvious. Other SE methods when properly executed, stay between you and the merchant and are (usually) explainable by human error. Or at worst you don't get a refund. Proper SE will rarely if ever get the police involved. So FTID is risky. But it's a scalable option that doesn't need too much brainpower to execute. So does using a boxing service reduce liability on your end? Your information (or the information you're using) is still revealed to the carrier. I think it's even slightly worse, as now you're trusting a third party with this information, and they can rat you out or fail your SE. My country is also small and all the carrier packstations mostly have cameras around them and other security precautions. |
