Bricked device - is it even a real concern? - wjts1_ - 07-31-2024 Hey. I was wondering about your experience with getting your SE'd device bricked. I assume it is possible with all devices that have an IMEI number since it can just get blacklisted by, let's say, Apple. That would mean all the iPhones, Macbooks, Ipads or even some Apple Watches would be at risk. However, I have never ever come across someone who actually got their device bricked. Honestly, it kind of seems like an urban legend rather than something to be concerned about. Also, if the product was sold by Amazon or Apple directly, I'm able to understand it, but what about other retailers? Feel free to share your thoughts. |
