salvaging parts from amazon warehouse return - Quitelargegenitalman - 07-10-2024

I am thinking of buying an item from amazon warehouse and removing internal components and returning it. The outer shell/serial number will all be that same and assuming no ones tries to plug it in and test it it should appear to be the original item.
I am not sure about how rigorous amazon warehouse inspections are, also considering the item is ~$1500

I am also looking into sealed box method with other potential vendors

if the weight doesn't match they will investigate further. i don't think it's a great plan.

the sealed box method has been patched on amazon for about a whole year and from my info they do test products
. Walmart and bestbuy have been good, you can find some very informative stuff from my threads.

If the product your looking to take parts out of is possibly a gaming pc, I would advise to try walmart as many of the prebuilt systems they sell are in taped manufacturer boxes which are sealed. Furthermore, the walmart employees are not as meticulous as other retailers so theirs a much better chance your SE succeeds
