Metallically text - botín - 11-06-2013
Start off by making your canvas 400x150.
Add some text with a blocky kind of font, I recommend Bebas. Type your text and centre align it.
Now I'm going to make it blue-ish.

Start off by adding a Bevel & Emboss with these options.

Depending on your colour choice, the highlight mode will be lighter and the shadow mode will be darker than your chosen colour.
Now add a drop shadow.

Add a gradient overlay, change the black to the dark colour from your bevel and change the black to the light colour from your bevel.

Add an inner shadow to define the edges.

Now this is optional, but add a colour overlay of a light grey (bcbcbc) and 15% opacity. This is to really make it shine.
You should have something like this:

Nice tutorial, not what I would've called a "Metal" like text, but its still a nice little effect!

Yea this isn't really metallic, but more of a "sharpened" version of metalic colors, not really a metallic text. I do like the work though!

I wouldn't really call them metal at all. Mainly because they can also looks like they've made out of a hardened clay..

Its not glossy either, its a "Pressed" type of effect.
