If I just use a virtual credit card linked to a blank paypal account and ship to a drop address logically would I not be able to use paypal's Pay in 4 option as a safe backup to refunding not working?
Say I have a $100 purchase. I buy for $25 the first week, attempt to DNA but it does not work, cancel the virtual card and I cannot be charged the remaining $75.
Anyone try this? Am I missing something?

No, you need to apply Paypal pay in 4, if you can successfully do this with other credentials then Yes you can do that. However, if you do this with your own details your credit score will get effected heavily - meaning that it will be hard to apply for Mortgages loans etc

Pay in 4 does not check credit score at all. It's pretty much the same thing as Klarna or Afterpay.

I'm pretty sure they would report it to a credit agency if unpaid, but you would need to read their terms and conditions

Paypal pay in 3 or pay in 4, Klarna and Afterpay all do a soft credit check in europe atleast i dont know about other regions so if your credit is bad or if the credit limit is almost at 100% u will be rejected
