Fragrances method - tasso - 05-03-2024

Hello guys!

I'm curious about the most effective method for handling fragrances. I have few ideas in mind: the broken bottle approach, purchasing refills and refill them and after that brake the original bottle, or returning the bottle with about 5% fragrance left and rest fill with neutral liquid, like alcohol. What method do you believe has the highest chance of success?

Empty box and Damaged/broken bottle are frequently used with a high success rate. I would personally lean towards damaged because shipping carriers mishandling packages containing fragile products is a very common experience.

What I would suggest is to go on Google and try to find images of the particular bottle you're trying to purchase BEFORE placing the order (Always have everything ready and well-researched before placing the order). You'll almost always find an image on Reddit or on an Amazon review - and usually you can obtain some additional good information about how a certain store's customer service process works when handling these issues as well.

Thank you so much for the feedback, bro. Just to clarify, when you mentioned searching for photos, were you referring to searching for photos of broken bottle, perhaps on Amazon? If I don't have the broken bottle photos, I might consider refilling some refiller and breaking the original bottle? Alternatively, I could try using photoshop, but my skills in that area aren't top-notch. Perhaps Using a "Broken Glass Effect.png" won't work I guess.

I apologize for the late response - but yes. For the most popular fragrances and cosmetics, you will usually have no issue in quickly finding an image showing the exact problem you're gonna be using to SE the company with.

And like you mentioned, photoshop is also a good alternative. There are tons of youtube tutorials out there that can help you achieve what you want to do.

GL.

Which stores have you hit using this method? Have any of them asked for a broken bottle to be sent back?
