Does the name on the CC matters? - brr45 - 03-22-2024 I heard some say that to have multiple accounts with a merchant you just need (with all the other changes) a different card number for the payment, and they can't see the name associated with it. Is it true or I need to open a new bank account with a false identity and everything? If the name on the card doesn't matter then VCC's from Revolut are perfect. RE: Does the name on the CC matters? - Oni - 03-22-2024 If you are using someone else's payment details, we don't allow that here. When charging a card, usually they will verify the Zip code (sometimes name/address). Most businesses store the payment information so it can be cross-referenced later. If you used the same card and changed the name it would likely be apparent. My question is more, if I use another card that has the same name associated with it, can it be used to detect multi-accounts (provided every other information, except the name on the card, is different on the other account). It actually doesn’t matter most of the time if you put a different name using your own credit card. I thought it would but one day when I called and ordered Chinese food they asked me for my card number no name and it went through. So I started trying it and it worked. The only time i had a problem was at Costco when I used my real name on the credit card order and it didn't match the fake name of my Costco membership. I talked to them for like 2 hours and they canceled my order 2 times saying the names had to match so I said fuck it and used my fake name on my credit card and it worked for a $2000 laptop. Interseting info, it matches some things that I have read somewhere but had trouble believing. I will have to try it RE: Does the name on the CC matters? - magicmissile - 03-29-2024 Yeah name doesn't really matter most of the time. If you're for example ordering from amazon and shipping to address X under the name John Sinisterly your best bet is using that same name on the card info RE: Does the name on the CC matters? - KingDead - 03-30-2024 (03-29-2024, 12:20 AM)magicmissile Wrote: Yeah name doesn't really matter most of the time. When I was younger I was heavy into the carding scene and they would ask for ID's all the time. Now retail stores ask you if you even want the receipt while they are in the process of throwing it out. RE: Does the name on the CC matters? - ruonis55 - 04-02-2024 Name doesn't matter for the merchant, I used and using for Amazon different names and surnames, didn't had any problems with that. I've used totally different names and billing addresses from the other side of the world more than once with my personal Revolut. Aslong as the card number/CVV/exp date match it'll go through. (Atleast for the one time use cards. Haven't tried it with the static VCC) |
