Quick Boost - ISOCAT - 02-07-2024 Wanted to post and describe what to me seems like an instant(?) boost. Ordered an item from Curry$ (UK) aboutt 300-700 quid in value. Used it for about a 20-60 days and r3turned it as a f@ulty item. Since it was purchased on a ‘don’t pay anything for 6 months’ line the company had to clear the balance. A few weeks later my Cl3arscore jumps up about 30-50 points. Can’t complain right? Interesting because it seems like on paper, I cleared the balance within fifty days so it looks green on their side. This post is a work of fiction. RE: Quick Boost - Huncho - 02-07-2024 (02-07-2024, 02:25 AM)ISOCAT Wrote: Wanted to post and describe what to me seems like an instant(?) boost. What do you mean 20-60 days? that's a huge amount of days to be leaving as a mystery RE: Quick Boost - HeardIt - 02-07-2024 absolutely no idea why your credit report would have went up. it's not reported as paid off to them if the debt is gone. they remove it RE: Quick Boost - ISOCAT - 02-08-2024 Apologies if it seems a bit vague. It was after the Return window so it would only go back if it was faulty, I agree @HeardIt it does seem weird but after speaking to the customer service they explained that the company (i purchased from) would clear the balance as the cr3dit was from a third party company. I (E) borrow money from X to pay Y, to receive a service. The service is unsatisfactory so E no longer needs it, therefore X must clear the balance and Y no longer chases E for the funds. I believe this would be the case here. Since Y was expecting the funds via monthly instalments, and on databases was recorded that E would be owing Y over a course of a year, the sudden clearance of this line of you know what was completed so it would be crossed off. I don’t know exactly myself but this is what I am trying to grasp at. I am even looking to experiment further and see what exactly is going on... RE: Quick Boost - Elsdebo - 02-09-2024 So company X indirectly increased your clearscore(E) by paying Y instantly? So if you do this a couple of times, you can boost your clearscore quickly without losing any money, and build up credibility to SE even more? RE: Quick Boost - ISOCAT - 02-12-2024 Certainly, it appears plausible. I'm currently delving into the matter, attempting to discern the exact dynamics at play. A more practical perspective suggests the emergence of a new cr3dit line automatically elevates your score. Assuming this is done with 3-5 companies, you could potentially see a boost of around 100-150 points. However, it's crucial to manage these lines diligently to avoid them idly sitting around, as that might attract attention and lead to a decrease. Perhaps consider executing a few purchase, use, and return manoeuvres, exploiting any faulty aspects to leverage that cr3dit increase for your actual needs. Once you've achieved your goal, you could either compose a well-crafted email or message to close multiple lines or exploit them by selecting high-cost items, reselling them immediately, and using the proceeds to settle everything. This approach seems strategic in navigating the credit system, especially given the challenges of increasing cr3dit. I, for instance, faced a setback due to a CCJ resulting from an unpaid phone bill, causing a significant drop of 75-100 points for the next few years. It's frustrating, but my financial constraints limit my options at the moment. The struggle is real, and I find myself desperately in need of employment. Note: This post is a work of fiction. |
